Target Group, Course Structure and Course Language
Graduate and postgraduate students or highly advanced undergraduated with performing experience.
Pre-existing or newly formed ensembles (only for ensembles on site)!

Lessons will be taught by a predetermined combination of professors.
Every Piano Duo will receive 4 lessons of 45 minutes each.
Workshops, Lectures, Coaching Sessions
Alongside the master classes given by well-known, leading artistic personalities, isa also offers participants additional learning opportunities in the form of workshops, lectures, and coaching sessions.
All supplementary workshops and lectures are accessible only in combination with a master class and are included in the course fee.
Awards and Audition
As part of the concerts and auditions during the isa22, prizes will be awarded for outstanding interpretations of certain works (Prize money € 1,000 – € 2,000 , master class-specific “Challenge” and isa-wide “Competition”).
Within the isaFestival there is the possibility to play a concert as a soloist with orchestra. There will be an audition for this right at the beginning of the course. The work to be prepared for this is:
Carl Czerny Concerto for piano four hands and orchestra op. 153, 1. Mvt. Allegro con brio
The isaFestival is the presentation platform for all isa participants, providing the opportunity to perform in public as part of its concerts.
Exceptionally high artistic quality (soloist-level) is required.
Selection and final decisions regarding invitations to perform are made by isa´s artistic director.
Application and Application Requirements
A prerequisite for participation is having attained a high artistic level, to be certified.
Following files are required:
1. Two demo recordings (video)
from a stylistic era of your choice

2. Letter of recommendation
A letter of recommendation from a renowned professor or a recognised personality of international musical life that addresses one’s artistic qualification for this master class is required.

Free admission to all concerts of isaFestival
The course fee is to be paid after confirmation of participation by July 1, 2022 at the latest.
From July 1, 2022 the course fee can only be reimbursed in proven cases of force majeure (e.g. illness, accident, death in the family, etc.). In no case will the registration fee be refunded!
Travel and Accommodation
Participants are responsible for making and paying for their own travel arrangements.
We do offer a shuttle service at each course location that runs between the local train station and the hotel on the arrival and departure dates, as well as to concerts and by special arrangement.
