Dear friends of isa!

Over 33 years of successful continuous development, isa has become superbly established in its diversity and for all those involved—for its young musicians, its tutors, and for you, our esteemed audience.

As part of the preparations for the next development planning period for Austrian universities (2024 to 2030), the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna is now undertaking comprehensive analyses and strategic repositioning in all its areas of activity.

The Rectorate, in consultation with the isa team, has decided to dedicate isa’s working year of 2024 to its comprehensive analysis and re-conception.

We therefore kindly ask for your understanding that the International Summer Academy and its events will be suspended in 2024.

However, we look forward all the more to our relaunch of isa in summer 2025—when isa will continue responding to current needs at its usual outstanding level, thereby also continuing to maintain its successful positioning amidst the international competition!
