Dear friends of isa!

In 33 years of successful continuous development, the isa has established itself excellently in its diversity for all those involved, the young musicians, the teachers and for you, our esteemed audience.

In the context of the preparations for the next development planning period for Austrian universities (2024 to 2030), comprehensive analyses and strategic repositionings are now being developed in all areas at mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
The Rectorate of mdw has decided, together with the isa team, to dedicate the working year of 2024 to a comprehensive analysis and new conception of isa.

We therefore kindly ask for your understanding that the International Summer Academy and its events will be suspended in 2024.

However, we are all the more looking forward to starting a relaunch of isa in the summer of 2025. isa will respond to current requirements at its usual excellent level and thus continue to ensure its successful positioning in the international competition!
